Size Definition

Most plants are shown in 2 Inch pots (square), 4 Inch pots (round or square), 6 Inch pots (round),Ā and 8 Inch pots (round).

The Size option, such as 2 Inch, 4 Inch, etc., typically represents the size of the pot that the plant is shown in. InĀ most cases, it does not represent the width, length, or height of the plant, with some exceptions:

- Monkey Tail Cactus: The size represents the length of the cactus

- Some columnar cactus / cacti plants

- Certain plants that are shown without a pot

Ā

Letter Suffix in Size

When aĀ letter is added to the size value (Example: 2 Inch #A or 4 Inch #B), it represents different variants of the same size. The meaning could vary depending on the type of plant. The corresponding listing photos of each size variant provide the best representation of the plants that you'll receive.

TheĀ letter suffix could represent one or more of the following:

-Ā Differences in plant maturity and/or fullness

- Differences in plant size and/or shape

- Differences in style and/or color

- Differences in amount of variegation

- Unrooted cuttings vs. rooted plants

Ā

Packaging & Handling

Vast majority of our plants shown inĀ 4 Inch or larger pots are shipped bare rootsĀ (See below fore more details).

MostĀ plants shown inĀ 2 Inch potsĀ are shipped in theirĀ original plastic pots with soilĀ because they are small andĀ are less subject to damaging during transit.

We carefully wrap each plantĀ with wrapping paper and place them securely inside the box. Then, we fill the remaining space in the box with newsprint paper, air pillows, or crinkle paperĀ to ensure the plants don't move around during shipping, and hence minimize shipping shock.

Shipping with Pots

The plants listed below are shipped with the pot and soil to ensure thatĀ they can stay healthyĀ through transit:

  • Most plants shown in 2 Inch pot (exclusion applies, some 2 Inch plants are shipped bare root toĀ provideĀ better protection)
  • String of Pearls in 2 Inch and 4 Inch pot
  • Variegated String of Pearls

Lavender Pebbles: Plump Leaves in Soft Pastel Tones

Lavender Pebbles (Graptopetalum amethystinum) forms rosettes of rounded, powdery leaves. Soft pink, lilac, and gray tones can change with light and growing conditions, giving each plant its own pastel look.

  • šŸ’œ Rounded, pebble-like leaves give this succulent its memorable name
  • ā˜ļø A powdery coating softens the leaf colors
  • 🌿 Rosettes on short stems can develop into a spreading display
  • ⭐ Star-shaped flowers may appear in spring

Choose Lavender Pebbles for a bright planter where its plump leaves can be admired without frequent handling. It pairs beautifully with finer-leaved succulents.

Care Tips

Light: Bright light; gentle sun is useful. Provide afternoon shade in hot climates and acclimate gradually.

Water: Let the mix dry before watering thoroughly, then drain well. Reduce watering when growth slows.

Soil: Use a sharply draining cactus and succulent mix.

Potting: Use a pot with drainage holes and avoid an oversized container that stays wet too long.

Temperature: Protect from sustained freezing and cold, wet conditions.

Humidity: Provide good airflow and avoid damp, stagnant conditions.

Handling: Avoid rubbing the leaves, which can remove their natural powdery coating.

    Care Instructions

Please visit ourĀ Succulent CareĀ info page for more details.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.

    Ā

    • When ordering, be mindful that living succulents can be damaged by theĀ cold weather.
