Blue Mist is in the Crassulaceae family. The majority of their natural habitat is in Mexico, with some scattered throughout Central America, South America, and the United States. They prefer rocky places, forests, and arid areas. They have tight rosettes of leaves that are whitish gray. When the weather is cooler, the older foliage can change colors to a lovely pink. From late spring to early summer, they produce bracted yellow bell-shaped flowers.

They are attractive ornamental hobby plants and are great to add to your garden!

Care Tips

Light: They require intense light. However, in hotter climates, full sun should be avoided. You should ease the plants into the sun by starting with morning sun or partial sun and gradually increase the amount of sun in 6-8 days, depending on your climate.

Water: Blue Mist should be allowed to dry out completely between waterings. When you do water them, they should be watered well until the water flows out the bottom of the pot.

Soil: Use a breathable and well-drained soil, such as cactus mix for best results. Or you can use peat mixed with perlite and coal cinder, prepared in the approximate ratio of 1:1:1.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots. Ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability. Clay pots lose water too quickly, and plastic pots tend to retain water for too long and permeability is poor.

Temperature: It thrives in temperatures ranging from 70-80°F (21-27℃). Please allow the temperature to not go below 40°F (4℃)  in the winter.

Humidity: Blue Mist grows well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors. They do not like too much humidity.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.
