Crassula capitella subsp. thyrsiflora are part of the Crassulaceae family and are native to South Africa. They have rosettes that range from pink to red and eventually become red and shaped like a pagoda. During the summer and fall, there can be white flowers that grow.

These plants are easy to grow, so they’re great for beginners.

Care Tips

Light: They need full sunlight to grow.

Water: Water them when you see the soil dry.

Soil: It’s best to use well-drained soil. Generally, we choose a soil with a large proportion of granular matter and less peat soil.

Potting: It is recommended to use ceramic pots. Ceramic pots have a certain degree of permeability. Clay pots lose water too quickly, and plastic pots tend to retain water for too long and permeability is poor.

Temperature: They prefer a warm growing environment, and the most suitable temperature is 64-77°F (18-25°C).

Humidity: Red Pagoda grows well in average household humidity levels when grown indoors. Normal household humidity is good for this plant.

    Care Instructions

Please visit our Succulent Care info page for more details.

To ensure the health of succulents, it is important to plant them in porous, well-draining soil. Succulents require little watering, but don't like to sit in wet soil. To create an adequate cactus mix, simply add pumice, perlite, or grit to cactus soil to provide the proper drainage.

Make sure to leave drought periods between waterings to prevent the plant from water-logging.
